RecordOS
Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of RecordOS, a desktop app provided by Overseed AI ("we", "us"). By installing or using RecordOS you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use RecordOS.
1. Use of RecordOS
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use RecordOS on computers you own or control, subject to these terms. You may not resell, sublicense, or reverse engineer RecordOS except where the law allows it.
2. Your content
You own your recordings, projects and other content. RecordOS stores them on your computer, and you are responsible for keeping backups and for having the rights to the content you record, edit and publish.
3. Third-party services
Some features connect to services you set up with your own accounts or API keys, such as Deepgram, Google Gemini, OpenAI, Cloudflare and YouTube. Your use of those services is governed by their terms, and you are responsible for any charges they bill you.
RecordOS uses YouTube API Services. By connecting YouTube or using Topic check, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. See our Privacy Policy for how YouTube data is handled.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use RecordOS to break the law, infringe others' rights, or violate the terms of the services it connects to.
5. No warranty
RecordOS is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that it will be error-free or that it will not lose data.
6. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law permits, Overseed AI is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits or revenue, arising from your use of RecordOS. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for RecordOS in the twelve months before the claim, or CAD $100 if you paid nothing.
7. Termination
You may stop using RecordOS at any time. We may end your licence if you breach these terms. Sections 2, 5, 6 and 9 survive termination.
8. Changes
We may update these terms. If we do, we will post the new version here and change the effective date. Continuing to use RecordOS after a change means you accept the updated terms.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. The courts of British Columbia have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
